About us

Grigsby’s Foundry was started in 1929 by the Grigsby family in the heart of Ballarat, a Victorian country town famous for its gold fields. The Foundry operated from its original site near the centre of the city until it was relocated by new owners in 2003 to its current site at 12 Old Creswick Road, Ballarat.

Grigsby’s Foundry specialises in non-ferrous metals, manufacturing predominantly in Aluminium, Bronze, and Cast Iron. It is one of the few foundries in Victoria that can cast Monel.

Bronze plaques designed and manufactured to customer requirements are a speciality. Components can be supplied as cast, machined or polished as required Grigsby’s can undertake all casting volumes, from a single piece for people undertaking a hobby project, to manufacturing many thousands of pieces for the automotive or transport industry.
